In addition to delivering electricity and natural gas safely to your home, we also provide a variety of educational materials, energy safety training and other services. Gas or Electric Service Emergency

You can report an electric outage, gas leak, carbon monoxide alarm, a line break or any other natural gas/electric service emergency by contacting us at 800-638-3278 any time of day. Please do not make emergency requests via email. Find out more…

Trade Ally Program

Montana-Dakota no longer provides repair service for heating and water heating equipment. However, to assist you in finding a qualified contractor who provides these services in your area, Montana-Dakota has developed a Trade Ally contractor network.

Continuous Service Program

For property owners who would like to maintain continuous service to properties they rent, we offer a Continuous Service Agreement (CSA) program.  Please visit our ​Property Owners & Landlords page for more information.


Notification of Pending Disconnect

Customers in North Dakota may elect to designate a third party to be notified when service is scheduled to be disconnected due to non-payment.  The consent form must be filled out and signed by the Montana-Dakota customer and the third party.  Once complete, the form may be returned by emailing [email protected] or faxing to 701-323-3104.
